Thoughtful Thursday & The Model

This simple but powerful tool has been a game changer for me.

I have learned that the things outside of me do NOT create my feelings.

The results in my life are NOT circumstances that just happen to me.

We all have the power to create the life experience we want.

Everything happening in any situation fits into the model created by Brooke Castillo.

It takes a problem and shows us what is genuinely true.

It gives us accountability for every result, good or bad, in our lives.

When we start to see that we are creating our current results, we begin to see we have the power to create the result we want.

The purpose of the model is self-awareness.

We are very good at being aware of the things outside of us.

People's behavior.

Events going on arounds us.

We are really good at noticing what we think should be different from what it is.

But we are not very good at self-awareness.

However, using the model invites us to become more self-aware.

Our thoughts (T) and feelings (F) bring internal self-awareness.

They will show you what is happening for you internally when the neutral circumstance happened.

Our actions (A) and results (R) bring external self-awareness.

You observe who you become,  how you show up and what you create for yourself externally when operating from what you discovered was happening for you internally.

C: (What happened in the world)
T: (What is happening internally for you)
F: (What is happening internally for you)
A: (What is happening externally for you)
R: (What is happening externally for you)

As I have applied this tool to my own life, it has allowed me to see ALL the parts of me.

I have gained greater perspective and power over my own life.

It may be tempting to judge yourself.

However, when done from a place of curiosity and compassion you can decide with more authority if you want to create something different for yourself.

Give it a try!
